FEATURES: Evergreen shrub has spikes of vivid
magenta purple flowers that fade white.
Rounded green leaves have creamy white
edges and a plum purple reverse. An
excellent selection for rock gardens,
containers, or low hedges. Does well in
coastal regions.
CAUTION: Protect from hot, drying winds.
BLOOM TIME: Late spring through summer.
EXPOSURE: Light shade in hottest climates and
full sun elsewhere.
SOIL: Very well-drained soil.
AVERAGE SIZE: 2-4’ tall and wide.
GROWTH RATE: Fast growing.
HARDINESS: Hardy to 15°F, but young plants
should be protected from frost.
WATER: Regular.
FERTILIZER: In early spring, before growth
begins.
PRUNING: After bloom, stems that have
flowered can be cut back one-half or trimmed
lightly.
